StorageNinja requests the following Chrome permissions for functionality:

Required Permissions:

  • activeTab: Access the currently active tab only to read storage data when the extension popup is opened by the user
  • storage: Access Chrome's storage API for extension settings and preferences
  • cookies: Read and modify cookies on the currently active tab only (limited by activeTab permission)
  • scripting: Dynamically inject content scripts into the active tab only when needed to access Local Storage and Session Storage
  • clipboardRead: Read clipboard data for paste functionality
  • clipboardWrite: Write storage data to clipboard for copy functionality

Enhanced Security Approach

StorageNinja uses only activeTab permission - no broad website access required! The extension can only access storage data from your currently active tab and only when you explicitly open the extension popup. This minimal permission approach ensures maximum privacy and security.

These permissions are used solely for the extension's core functionality and not for data collection or tracking purposes. The extension operates with minimal permissions to ensure your privacy and security.

5. Data Security

Since all data processing occurs locally on your device:

  • Your data never leaves your browser environment
  • No network transmission of sensitive information occurs
  • Storage data remains under your complete control
  • The extension cannot access data from other extensions or browser components

6. Third-Party Services

StorageNinja does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or external APIs. The extension operates entirely offline and independently.
